Pacquiao to meet Jeremy Lin

Reported by Ronnie Nathanielsz on BoxingScene.com, despite having a hectic schedule eight division champion and pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao plans to meet the newest NBA sensation and New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin.  Pacquiao will be in New York to promote his June 9th fight against the undefeated junior welterweight champion Timothy 'the Desert storm' Bradley.


Pacquiao will be in Los Angeles on Thursday night and in Las Vegas on Friday with his adviser Michael Koncz. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said that Pacquiao will give his disposition in the case against Floyd Mayweather Jr, his father Mayweather Sr. and uncle and trainer Roger Mayweather.  Pacquaio will also be attending the great Muhammad Ali's gala dinner on by Saturday, then head to New York for the press conference of his upcoming fight, "He will do something for Nike in the morning, shoot some more stuff in the afternoon and then, we are taking him to Madison Square Garden for a meet and greet with the new Asian Superstar in basketball Jeremy Lin," Arum said.

Pacquiao has always been a basketball fan.  He even play as a point guard of a team he owns, the MP Gensan Warriors.  Top Rank spokesman Lee Samuels said that in 2008 while in Chicago, Pacquiao was dying to see Michael Jordan's statue outside the Bull's arena, "He just stared at it for the longest time. He really loves basketball. Wherever he is, he’s always trying to get a pickup game," said Samuels.
